Microsoft is going to discontinue Windows 10 downloads on January 31, 2023. After this date, existing users will only receive critical security updates to a system that’s already up and running. Whoever happens to need the ISO file, will be out of luck.
The upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is free of charge, provided that the hardware plays along. You need to meet specific system requirements and those just so happen to have nothing to do with performance. Even shiny new hardware could refuse to go along.
With some luck, however, you may be able to circumvent the resistance of your system to make the jump.
